Ascent of Mount Angeles on 2021-06-05
|Date:||Saturday, June 5, 2021|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6454 ft / 1967 m|
Ascent Trip ReportDO NOT FOLLOW TRACK. Scramble from Hurricane Ridge visitor center to top of Mount Angeles, descending down switchback trail. Completely socked-in, variable visibility as low as 50', intermittent light snow, blowing 25+ on summit.
Do not follow my ascent track, ascended face class 3/4 rock with some exposure. Descended backside (North), much safer with no exposure. Still snow in backside shoots.
With proper route finding could easily be a class scramble with no exposure.
