Ascent Trip Report Hiked out from Newfound Gap on AT. Turned south on Dry Sluice, then accessed summit via short bushwhack from AT where it passes nearest the summit ridge. Fairly open, short, and moderately steep slope, so not an unpleasant bushwhack relative to many others in the Smokies. No monuments seen, and with trees and fog no views worth mentioning.
