Ascent Trip Report

Camped near the kilns, started hiking up the road towards the TH at first light. It was a snow hike up the road with most of the trail to Bennett Peak being in the sun and clear of snow, There were however spots along the way where it could be over a foot deep, or thin layers of slick ice. Went up and over Bennett with some postholing on the north slope, across the connecting ridge, and then we donned crampons for the final snow climb up and down the peak of Telescope. The snow was very firm, didn't posthole at all here. Weather was forecast to be windy, but there was no wind or clouds and temps were perfect.
