Ascent Trip Report

This 2K prominence peak was located using Andrew Kirmse's site
We drove in via this route:
51.4864, -117.1672 Leave main highway, head north
51.5544, -117.2902 Go left (west)
51.5638, -117.3758 Go right on smaller road
51.5730, -117.3829 Trailhead
Google maps shows this route.

A carefully driven car might get to the
junction at 51.5638, -117.3758. It is about
1/2 km walk from here to our trailhead. This road has
a large mudhole and few places to turn around.

From the trailhead we walked about 1km and gained 100
meters to reach the summit. This route follows an overgrown
road with ATV traffic. At the top a gutted fire tower is found.
There are good views in several directions. We left a small
register in the abandoned tower. BC basemap shows two contenders
(+1700 and 1700-1720) to the south. These are clearly lower by
sight level. There is also a 1700-1720 contender to the west,
which has trees that are higher than 1719 Susan Peak, but
the ground elevation for the contender is likely lower than 1719 meters.
