Kaleetan Peak truly deserves being called the overused term "Matterhorn". From many vantage points in the Snoqualmie Pass area, it appears to be an almost impossibly steep and pointy pyramid, and a climb looks like it would be a serious technical undertaking. However, the easy routes on the peak are no more than Class 3 scrambling. It's a good one to bag so you can brag to your friends about your climb when they sight its impressive form.

Kaleetan Peak is the dark tooth on the left and Chair Peak is the broad mass to the right in this view from Granite Mountain (1997-11-09).
