The second highest peak in Quebec was unofficially named after Susan Barnes and Dan Pauzé in 2004, a year after the couple perished in a storm on nearby Mount Caubvick/Mount D'Iberville. It is a broad dome lying about 10 kilometers west of Mont D'Iberville/Mount Caubvick. The ascent is easy from the south, over large fields of talus.
Five members of the private Barnes-Pauzé search expedtion climbed this peak in August, 2004, hoping to make a first ascent. Although they discovered there was already a cairn on the summit, from an unknown earlier climber, they left a register bottle with the proposed unofficial name. Well-known Canadian mountaineering site Bivouac.com also uses this name for the peak.
