Mount Daniel has two summits with a 7960 foot closed contour, the West and Middle summits. Field observations show that the West Summit is higher. To make the ranking lists on this site work correctly, the elevation of the Middle Summit is artificially demoted to 7959 feet so that it correctly shows up lower than the West Summit in rankings by elevation.
