Cima Tosa appears on many maps with an elevation of 3173 meters. However, this elevation is for a former snowfield on the summit, and melting over the past decades has reduced the summit elevation to approximately 3137 meters. This means that it is no longer the highest point in the Brenta massif.
This new elevation has been confirmed by several mountain climbers who have visited the summit in recent years. Cima Brenta is now higher by leveling analysis, and GPS measurements show that Cima Tosa has an elevation in the range of 3135 to 3140 meters.
