List Description

This pin is awarded by the Mountaineers club for climbing the most dominant summits in Washington State. It matches exactly to the top five peaks in the state by prominence. Four are Cascade volcanoes, and the fifth peak, Olympus, is the highest in the Olympics. All are popular ascents and long trips requiring glacier skills and physical fitness. Those who climbed Mount Saint Helens proir to 1980 qualify for the 6-peak pin.
