List DescriptionThis list is far from complete--it is just an attempt to list some of the more famous and prominent peaks that are high points of islands in lakes or rivers. The first two entries are definitely the highest two lake islands in the world, and probably at least 7 of the actual top 10 in the world are listed here.
Included here is at least one peak that is the high point of an island created by a man-made reservoir--this is Mont Babel in Canada, which before the creation of Manicouagan Reservoir was not on an island at all.
