Paul Bunyan's Stump in August 2014

Growing up West of the Cascades, I've been hiking with family since grade school but in 2008 my brother Josh got me trying out the harder stuff. I've taken a keen interest in the snowy places. I'm not overly ambitious and will turn around or par down the plan to maintain an enjoyable and survivable adventure. When in a group I like to follow my friend Greg LaSala's philosophy of Safety>Fun>Summit. On my own I admittedly take some risks that only I can be held accountable for but I recognize the inherent danger of climbing solo and avoid technical stuff when doing so. Partners are always welcome.
