Though I live in the plain of the (mostly) flat St. Lawrence river valley, I am fairly centrally situated for weekend excursions to hike in Vermont or the Adirondacks, as well as to several of the hilly regions of southern Quebec. I am fairly new to hiking and peakbagging, but I have been getting more and more hooked on this activity since about 2010. Though I climbed a few mountains in my younger days, I really only discovered a passion for hiking as I neared 40 years old; now I love hiking probably more than any other activity I have ever done. This website has helped me discover many great mountains near home and when traveling, and I hopefully will continue to discover new ones for a long time to come.
