Ascent Trip ReportFollowing the near whiteout on Cross Fell, the weather suddenly cleared towards dusk & we made a quick ascent of this very shapely hill in glorious light & with splendid views (albeit with a lot of cloud persisting). Somewhat misguidedly we made a direct ascent by the steep & icy west face. We descended by the south-east ridge and ambled back to Dufton in the dusk by the excellent old miners' track. I think a traverse via the north-west & south-east ridges would be best.
