Ascent Trip Report

I parked behind a hotel property (formerly the Mountain Ranch Hotel, it has a new name now). I stepped over a fence onto forest property, walked a road south about a quarter-mile past a quarry, then was pleasantly-surprised to find a trail leading up. Cool, no bushwhacking.

The trail angles west, catches a north-trending ridge, then gains steeply south to the summit. It's a weak trail in spots with multiple paths, but cairns help. The top features a huge juniper. Great views to the south. 35 minutes up, 25 minutes down.
