Ascent Trip ReportSurprisingly, there was no snow on this peak in spite of the date.
The summit route follows a gated but public road that comes in from the S starting at the 633' junction. From there it is an easy roadwalk. The tricky part is getting to that point. I was foiled on several previous forays by snow and gates. In this case, I found the 808 road open with a sign indicating it was open for hunting and recreation until Dec 31st. Normally the gate may be closed and even if it is open the singage allows only for motorized access. From there I let a combination of direction and gated options dictate my path to the base of the peak. These roads are not really shown right on the topo as there is a lot of logging and road building going on here. If all gates are closed the best access is from more or less due W of the 633' spot and a bike would be helpful.
