Ascent Trip Report

quick hike up to the north peak via the Burnt Meadow Mtn Trail that leaves Rte 160. Magic, Ghostdog and I met at the parking area and ascended at a leisurely pace. The trail is 1197 elev. gain in 1.2 miles so it's a steady but pleasant climbe all the way to the top. There are tons of wild blueberry bushes and wild columbine along the trail. At about 900 ft. there is an outlook with some interesting cairns and rock formations. The top portion of the trail is steep and rocky, requires some scrambling. The top affords 360 degree views of surrounding mountains as well as the White's. Burnt Meadow pond is visible below. The top is flat, good area for a picnic. There were TONS of bugs out!
