Ascent Trip Report

From Patterdale again. Striding Edge and Swirral Edge. Almost identical conditions as last time... foggy, wet, windy, and very slippy. A lot of people made the going slow in parts because people were held up by more nervous hikers. Someone slipped and fell. Later it was revealed that he had died. He was well equipped and with his family who were also seasoned hikers. Tragic accident. We also passed the two mountain bikers who later came off injuring themselves. It was a busy day for mountain rescue who we followed along the ridge. A sad day.
