Ascent Trip ReportA long, relatively hard day out there in the woods, summitting the very obscure member of the 'Adirondack 46' peak list. I drove in from Ottawa, with Markus Wandel who has done most of the 4000-footers in the Adirondacks. It was a wet, early May weekend, with soft snow clinging to the upper parts of the hills. A long hike in and a good bushwhack to get onto the summit slopes, made more difficult by the crusty spring snow. All in all, a good adventure and a cardio workout, even if the peak is relatively low and most of the trip only moderately scenic. We used Markus' GPS a fair amount.
