Ascent Trip Report

From Lawson, I took the less-travelled ridge directly up to the top. It was a little brushy, so I was thankful to have pants on, which I would recommend for most peakbaggers except for Keith Christensen because he is a badass in shorts bushwhacking. I did not see any class 4 or even class 3 really to ascend this peak. It was very straightforward and I was certainly on the highest rock. I scrambled up the south side and then east side. I believe that others may scramble up from the north, which would be tougher... I found Lawson to be more challenging than Gaskill. Anyhow, excellent cool weather. My pants were quite wet by the time I descended the other ridge because of all the wet flora. The hike back to the car was uneventful. I did not see a soul car-to-car. Pics
