Ascent Trip Report

Suzanne and I with Domino in tow, tried to run the ridge over Not so Sasse and then to Sasse. We stopped once we spotted a zig zag of cornices along the west ridge of Not so Sasse. It was quite the sight, some hanging to the North and some to the South. We dubbed PT 5335 "Gasse" due to some exciting GI issues we both were dealing with. Hot tip: Cajan food isn't a wisest choice for dinner the night prior to a trip. Finally, copious loose wet slides were all over southern aspect slopes. With a late start we knew we had to call it. Winter is lingering in our hills. From our turn around, we thought dropping down to the trail paralleling the Howson creek drainage would be a quicker exit, this proved to be not so pleasant. After cussing our way through steep and heavily vegetated terrain down low, we contoured back up to 3500ft to find our original entry tracks.
