Ascent Trip Report

From 8212 I went down the hill toward the highway to get to Bear Lake Summit Peak. I tried to catch a glimpse of Old Limber Pine along the way, since I had never seen it before. Unfortunately I couldn't find it, nor could I spend any extra time searching for it. When I later looked at a topo map I realized I walked pretty close to it, but I somehow missed it. Tragic. I crossed the highway and started climbing up the ridge to Bear Lake Summit Peak. I dropped the snowshoes because the snow was too hard and the slope too steep to try and use them. Plus one of the buckles was misbehaving, so I didn't want to deal with it. Summitted the peak and then went back down to the highway, following it back to the car parked at the rest area.
