Ascent Trip ReportDriving to get to Vanderwhacker was pretty intense as we have a regular car and you really should have an SUV. We had to take the ride in really slow so that we would not hit bottom. We parked on the road, there was another couple starting out as well. The trail again was pretty wet. It took us a little over 3 hours to do the 5.4 miles. It began to rain as we were finishing up and by the time we had driven out to the road it was pouring so we did not get a good view of the campsite that is nearby.
