Ascent Trip Report

From Russbach am Pass Gschutt we did a nice round of Gamsfeld by going up the Traunwand path (201 then 875) and down the paths 822 and 202 past the Animoshuette.

The walking was just steady path, the summit comfortable with it's little bench and logbook, and the descent path easier than the ascent (recommended to do it this way round). The views were in and out of the mist and the long view was very hazy when we caught a glimpse. The rain held off and once again we were (falsely) promised a sunny day the next day by the horribly inaccuarte Dachstein Wetter service (as promoted by the local tourist offices)
