Ascent Trip Report

Hiked this when I was back home during college break with my father on an absolute beautiful day, saw many ground squirels and mountain goats along the way there on the way back saw a moose, black bear near the top of Flattop Mountain and a wolverine which is exciting since it is one of the more elusive Alaskan Animals especially so close to Anchorage. My dad lost his hiking stick when he had to throw it above him so that he could do some un-technical un-roped rock climbing on one part becuase we chose a harder route than we needed, on the way back took the snow chute on the way down. Lots of blueberries were present although not completely ripe.
