Ascent of Mount Julia on 2004-05-30
|Date:||Sunday, May 30, 2004|
|Ascent Type:||Unsuccessful - Turned Back|
| Elevation:||3319 m / 10892 ft|
Ascent Trip ReportWe turned back at 3320m altitude, having ascended from 2400m, due to a significant bergshund that we could not find a way over. Our attempt on the seventh highest peak in the Arctic circle acted as good acclimatisation for a later ascent of higher peaks nearby. We had approached from the Upper Wooley glacier side.
