Ascent Trip ReportWent up Little Willow Canyon (via Wasatch Blvd), then Big Willow Canyon, then entered a grassy meadow-type area at the pass between Rocky Mouth Peak and the north side of Lone Peak. The view from the pass is quite breathtaking. From there I climbed to the summit via the south side. Descended to the pass again, and then on to Little Bell Reservoir, then down Bell Canyon to Little Cottonwood Canyon Parking Lot. Strenuous. Very strenuous, but oh so beautiful.
You can pump from Big Willow Creek about 1 hour prior to pass, and you can pump ice cold snowmelt water from where it exits the Lone Peak icefield on the east side of the pass.
10 hour hike including lunch, photographs, etc.
