Ascent Trip Report

Mountain Laurel covers the ridgeline across Threemile Hill, after reaching the trail's State Forest boundary (demands to otherwise keep to trail) began looking for open woods to reach upward to the ridge and heights, a mostly open bushwhack to start became herd paths and deer yard connections going up into cul-de-sacs of thicket at the actual ridge except at the extreme northern ridgeline which offered a large clearing and more open woods though still at times thick laurel passage quickly left behind descending (I may yet explore to reach ridgeline further south and higher); Fountain Pond Peak on the other hand is an easily reached, mostly open woods climb to summit above Rte 7 & Pond reached at twilight, needing headlight going back beyond the Forest Boundary.
