Ascent Trip Report

West Mountain Ski Area towers o'er Glens Falls. I was told to visit the new vista porch (mountain weddings here) for a great outlook east over the Hudson River & Glens Falls located just below West Mtn's Summit & Lift this when starting out from the base camp, trail was an easy mowed climb and the detour worthwhile; followed ski trails northward from here till reaching a well beaten woods road just beyond the North West Lift then managing an easy bushwhack to an open wooded summit, tho affording no views, bushwhacked from top to discover mostly thicker brushy woods and old overgrown logging roads on a longer descent to ski area trails.
