Ascent Trip Report

We parked in the parking lot area for the high point and walked the 3 mile loop via the Mina Sauk Falls trail and Ozark Trail. You descend about 380 feet to reach the falls. The direct route to the summit is about 0.4 km and quite flat. The trail to and from the falls is quite rugged in places and hiking boots would be recommended. The summit area is quite flat and tree covered, mostly oaks. The falls area was pretty and in mid September there was minimal flow. After the hike we ate lunch in the picnic area of the park. There are no day use fees. State high point # 10.
