Ascent Trip Report

Out to bag some new Catskill Peaks taking time to build a small cairn at Carl Mtn's high point erratic followed by a ledge dodging descent down Carl Mtn-Southwest Peak's steep mostly open slope to a GPS Waypoint earlier taken on the ascent going to an open section of woods along the Willow Trail, finessing thereby an easy enjoyable tramp; afterward, I continued on to Phoenicia to explore the new Long Path Lane St trailhead followed by a goat cheese & vegetable quesadilla supper at a busy Phoenicia Brio's (and some déja vu, a breakfast goat cheese omelet here saved my butt after a long weekend's failed attempt at Panther Mtn)!
