Ascent Trip Report

Up and down via the NE Ridge. The ridge has some rocky towers that need to be bypassed. Great views of Redstone Peak and the Sluiskin Mountain peaks from the summit. I was actually aiming for Pigeon Peak and got off route. If I'd known where I was, I could have just descended to Pigeon Peak. That what I get for not having a GPS. Or a map that covered this area.

Found a log to cross the White River on the ascent. Didn't bother on the descent, wading two braids of the White River on the return. Thigh deep. Even with a heavy duty branch used as a stick for balance, it was a strong current and I almost toppled over. Still, the cool water felt good on scratched up legs and was a highlight of the trip.

I would guess it will probably be awhile before anyone else heads up here. At least it has a decent amount of prominence.
