Ascent Trip Report

A long slog of a morning, going up the Willmington route.
This could be a fun day out and some very rewarding summit panoramas - if there were any visibility. But, given the conditions, all I experienced was a 50-mile an hour wind on the summit ridge, with fog and rain blowing sideways. That's mountains for ya'. I must return on another, nicer day.

I have the impression that Whiteface is not as interesting of a hike as, for example, Giant Mtn, Algonquin Peak or Mount Colden, just to name a few other Adirondack classics.
