Ascent Trip Report

This is an easy 12 mile loop like which melts out pretty early I imagine. Guidebooks suggest turning around after bagging the summit and going back the same way because you wont have to walk a few miles of valley bottom to get back to the car. I would suggest doing the full loop for several reasons. First, the best of the ridge walking is after the summit. Secondly, Fout's Rock House is worth visiting. And thirdly, the valley is classic Olympics moss and big trees.

Romano gives this hike 5 stars but I cannot see why. It is average at best. No really disappointments, but it ain't 5 star.
