Ascent Trip Report

Some photos

Great day hike with my nephew Az Sellers. We left the Glen Alps trailhead at 7am. We made our way to the 4050' pass between The Wedge and The Ramp. We dropped down to Ship Lake and crossed the valley to the east side. We followed a game/use trail down valley to the Indian to Arctic Trail at about 2300'. We crossed this valley and rounded the ridge coming down from Point 3505 and into the valley on the sw side of Shaman Dome. We had to connect open areas, but was pretty easy to avoid the brush. We hiked up the SW ridge of Shaman Dome to the summit at 11am. from here we followed some steep terrain off the summit to the NE and dropped down to 2500' no below the Sail. We hiked up into a basin and then to the pass between the Sail and Tail Feather Peak. We followed the ridge to the summit of the sail arriving at 1pm. We retraced our steps back down The Sail and hiked back up to the 3550' shoulder to the NW of the summit and dropped down to the ridge we came up. Crossed the valley and I quickly ran up Point 3505 via the NW ridge. I met Az back down at the base of the ridge and we retraced our steps back out to the Glen Alps trialhead by 8:40pm. About 25 miles and 9500' vertical. A pretty good day.
