Ascent Trip Report

Followed sandy east drainage to saddle between Peak 2933 and the summit, then climbed upslope to the top. The last hundred feet was very loose and I didn't like it. Coming down, I went north on the ridge to a lowpoint, then followed a rough path (cairned in places) down to a mound of mine tailings. From there, I followed an old road out, but then it dropped back into the sand drainage.

If coming up, hike in the drainage a half mile, then go right out of the drainage where you should find the road. It's an overall easier hike this way. Poles or a staff are encouraged as it is loose in spots higher up. The area seems to be far more popular with mountain bikers and horse-back riders than hikers.

Took me 1 hour up, 45 mins down.
