Ascent Trip Report

The ascent of Arnside Knott is almost a drive up. This is England's lowest Marilyn. A car park is conveniently located at around 90m elevation at the end of a narrow and (towards the end) rough road. The way to the car park is well enough signposted from Arnside itself. From there you just go up to a strong path along a broad ridge line. Views from the summit are obscured by trees but fine views are to be had a little lower across Morecambe Bay and to the southern Lakes. Distant views were obscured by haze. The true summit is said to be a yew tree 12m to the south east of the trig.
