Ascent Trip ReportI descended the "back" side away from the Mount Tom ascent, and the entire trail was covered in about 12" of solid ice. I had no crampons and had to climb down on the very edges grabbing tree to tree, all the way down. I have never seen a trail covered in solid ice like that.
