I used aerial photos exclusively for this highpoint, as the topos are outdated and do not show all the dirt roads or the utility right-of-way.

I used Hans Haustein's driving approach, posted on cohp.org, but observed mileages were different. Drive 1.8 miles west of Plain Dealing on AR-2 to a right turn onto Delaney Hill Road. Head north for 1.0 miles to the end of pavement, and continue another 0.4 miles to a right fork. Continue another mile to an intersection with Wallace Road, turn left and drive about 0.6 miles to the broad clearing for the utility line right-of-way. I chose to hike in via the r-o-w, since the road into the hunting camp was gated shut and posted. The r-o-w is posted, but no more adamantly than at a hundred other such-rights-of-way.

I parked along the gravel road at the right-of-way. hike west along the r-o-w for over 1/2 mile until the southerly of the two highpoint areas is reached at an obvious crest along the swath. From there I walked over to the woods road that goes north into the hunting camp, where I saw no one. Note on the aerial photo that the road heads NW through the camp and intersects another path heading SW. Take this path a short distance south to the northerly highpoint, which my GPS device placed almost directly on the road, and indeed the ground within a very few feet of the road seemed the highest around. Recent LIDAR analysis measured the northern area as being four feet higher than the southern area.

In cooler conditions I would have retraced my route, but since the temperature was pushing 100, I hiked back on the gated road from the hunting camp. This offered some shade and better footing than on the r-o-w. From the point where it intersects the main gravel road, my car was visible about 0.1 miles to the south
