Ascent Trip Report

A side road with several homes leads uphill from River Rd, I drove up to explore and turned back at the last home where narrowed drive continued up; parked at drive's fork near to old style tennis courts just off River Rd, walked back up from here meeting a lady at that last house with her pups, asked her about walking up with my wanting to reach the peak, she said OK continuing my quest along drive which led to an Orvis Shooting School Sign, fields and buildings beyond which I reached with no one about, an about two hundred yard bushwhack circling cliffs and thickets led me up past signs of logging, farmer's field wall and hunting (blue flags), the higher up thickets were near impossible without the herd paths leading around to a trampled herd yard summit (seems like a pattern of deer and bear too in their liking of peaks), the PB coordinates by feet downhill in thicket out of reach me with my writing hand bleeding from a scratch cut in summit clearing. I retraced my steps detouring directly to Orvis School Drive down thru a more open woods of recent logging activity after stepping across hillside high up field wall.
