Ascent Trip ReportI've climbed Badger over a hundred times, in all seasons, in all weather. Snow, ice, rain, fog, heat, etc. I have used this mountain
for conditioning, climbing it as many as three or four times in a week during the off season, carrying a full pack. The actual first time I went up Badger was with John Roper and Jeff Howebert. We did a bunch of other local peaks that day, most of them the first time I had visited them, despite having lived in the area for almost 30 years.
Since then, Badger Mtn has been saved by a local group to preserve it and to build hiking trails (2 done to this date) on it. You could easily hike 6 miles and gain 1500 feet by going from one end to the other and back. Some wonderful views up there with Mt. Hood, Mt. Adam and Mt. Rainier all visible on a clear day.
