Ascent Trip Report

From its beach, Plum Point offers historic Revolutionary War cannon batteries, plus one of the most dramatic views ever to the Hudson River gorge; the Sloop Hill area inland was both quarry and dump, now overgrown with deer runs and with a series of steep knobs washing out to the Hudson River which they parallel, just beyond the highest knob south is a modern gravel roadway.
