Ascent Trip Report

A funny side-note is that the nearby new housing community that we also visited is called "The Lookout." Some people referred to this hill as "The Lookout Ridge" while we were there. We visited all of the highpoints of the hill, as well as the entire strip of land that contained the most likely locations of the former fire lookout. While there, one of the locals said the flat open landing (which currently has two picnic tables) near the outhouse had been the actual lookout location and had the best views for the lakeside, despite conflicting coordinates provided by various sources. Some scattered wooden, wires, pipes, bedspring pieces, etc. were near that flat open area, as well. Either way, I felt satisfied that I covered each of the most logical contenders at this location, near this location, and elsewhere on the hilly ridge.
