Ascent Trip Report

Trails were mostly well beaten, blazed except where wind blown from the night's fresh snow, while that up to Black Rock was a well packed climb, returning to trail head gambled going east along an un-blazed trail on Honey Hill's north slope to within 250 yds of summit; I had a tough but fortunately short bushwhack to an orange (surveyed) trail crossing up over summit, another well beaten trail to hill's south side down to Reservoir Rd. The cold clear views from Black Rock explained the well beaten trail looking north out to the Hudson Valley, and to nearby hills with Chatfield Hill Fire Tower on the skyline around behind.
