Ascent Trip Report

What kind of an idiot goes up Denny Mountain when it doesn't have snow?

Drove to Snoqualmie Pass from work.
~1810 TH by the
Rocks/grass on the right are pretty easy for a while. I had to bushwhack to the right to another section. From there to the saddle trail by a pipe can be followed.
1850 Saddle at top of first lift
I never found an easy way up the second lift. Following the creek on the right side for the first half seemed to be the lesser of two evils. From there I fairly easily continued and gained the ridge just before/to the right of a notable cliff (this part was a little hard to navigate in the dark on the way down, and even when I got on the right path, I slipped on the rocks and fell/slid maybe 3 or 4 feet... scary!) From there the ridge can be followed to the top of the chairlift, and to the summit block.
~1950-2000 Summit
I came down from the summit block a different way than I came up -- steep area holding on to a tree instead of a protected fun rock move.
On the way down the highest lift, I found a slightly bent ski pole, which turned out to be a great boon in descending the brushy, slippery slopes in the dark -- both for balance, and for determining how far down the ground is when I can't see through the bush. I recommend poles if you do this with no snow (and I usually hate poles, so that's saying something)... but then again, I do not recommend doing this with no snow!
The lower lift is a piece of cake, relatively. Although there was one short section I still had to bushwhack.
2135 TH

Quite an adventure -- solo bushwhacking on steep and rough terrain with no GPS, and an almost-dead phone battery.
