Ascent Trip Report

The Bay Area Ridge Trail follows Hiddenbrooke Parkway from Interstate 80, then goes up and over the ridge. I parked by the convenience store just past the entrance gate opposite Bennington Drive and hiked up the switchbacks on the Hiddenbrooke Connector Trail, meeting the Ridge Trail near the top. There's a short use trail from the crest to the summit where there's a solar array and a copse of trees. You can see from Mount Vaca and the Central Valley, to Diablo the Bay, Tamalpais and the North Bay to Mt. St. Helena and beyond
