Ascent Trip ReportThis was a combo outing with the three Burroughs. After summitting #3, descended route and just before low point headed directly towards Skyscraper. I had to pick my way through boulder fields to the basin below. Game trails forced me up into the rock band and I tried traversing through the boulder fields under the rock band but decided it best to just drop down until I was clear the rock bands on my right and then ascended directly up to the ridge connected to Skyscraper. It felt like a skyscraper going up--steep! A bit of exposure near the top but a nice steep, tight switch-backed trail to the top. Great view of Fremont Lookout. I was tempted to try it today but my descent and long traverse back to Frozen Lake made me think twice...next time! Left Sunrise at 10:42 a.m., First Burroughs around 11:45 a.m., Second at 11:55 a.m.; and 3rd at 1:00 p.m. It was two hours from 3rd Burrough to Skyscraper. What a wonderful day, fun loop.
