Ascent Trip Report

White River campground was still closed but climbers parking was open. Trail was snow free until just before the junction with Burroughs Mountain turn off. We saw a fox standing about 12 feet off the trail, bold as could be, and paid us almost no mind. Snow past the Burroughs junction got steadily deeper. Glacier Camp was completely snow covered as was the White River crossing.

Ascent was straight forward, we gained the ridge on Ruth and then ascended in a good set of steps from another party. Some rotten snow made the last 50 feet to the summit painful.

Glissade was a joy from the summit almost all the way to the river.

Glorious day.
