Ascent Trip ReportThis was a great hike. Very difficult for me since I'm a flatlander and this was my first time over 9,000'. I didn't get any elevation sickness but I was certainly out of breath a lot. I guess I didn't do too bad though...took me 5 1/2 hours to summit. Close to, if not the best view I've ever seen anywhere from the top. It was 11:30am when I summited and rain clouds were moving in so I decided to eat a quick lunch a ways down from the summit and then head back down. As I got about 1/3 of the way down the thunderstorm was very close by and I was getting pretty nervous. I was tired and was halfway jogging down the trail trying to go as fast as I could. Luckily I never fell though I was certain I would. Got down to tree line and felt much better. Not much later it poured down rain.
