Ascent Trip ReportTook off from Newton solo and made the trip to Pinkham Notch. Took the Lost Pond Trail to the Wildcat Ridge Trail. Lost Pond is an easy mile to the junction of the Wildcat Ridge Trail. From there its over 2000 feet in 2 miles. The trail is very steep and slightly exposed. The peak is just above the top of the Wildcat Mountain gondola. There is a nice viewing platform with great views of Washington. Took a quick lunch at the top of the gondola at a picnic table. The hike down takes about as long as the hike up due to having to pick your steps.
