Ascent Trip ReportI used this address to make my way to the parking lot:
257 Dublin Rd Jaffrey, NH 03452
I pulled into the parking lot at 8:15am and paid the $5 fee for access to the park. I started up at 8:30 and used the White Dot Trial. It was very overcast. There are a number of steep areas on the way up, but overall it was a good climb. There are many different sized cairns along the route to the summit. I made it to the peek at 9:40am. The peek was in the clouds and I had no views. On the way up I did get a few good views looking behind me, but overall it was overcast and very windy. I took some pictures and found the BM. I then continued on down the Marlboro/Dublin trial and bagged Dublin Peak at 9:53am. There is a small cairn with a little American flag in it. I then backtracked back to the Monadnock Peak and took the Smith Summit Trial down to Mount Rosa. I arrive on top of Mount Rosa at 10:29am. There is a wind vein on the top that is really cool. I took some pictures and headed back up the Smith Summit Trial to where it intersects Amphitheater Trial. I took the Amphitheater trial over to cliff walk trial. I made my way down Cliff Walk Trial to Kiasticuticus Peak (Bald Rock on the map from the ranger post). I arrived at 11:00am. The highest point has the name "Kiasticuticus Peak" carved in it. The clouds finally cleared off and I had good 360 views of Grand Monadnock and the surrounding communities. I continued down Cliff Walk trial to Lost Farm Trial. I then took Lost Farm Trial back to the parking lot arriving at 12:00 noon.
